Statement of Faith
Everyone don't believe the same, so what you believe is vital in choosing a pastor. There is  truth in just about every Christian based belief. Because all Christians are at various stages of spiritual growth there will always be differences of opinions and views concerning scripture. Some will no doubt be more advanced then others. This is not to say that because other Christians don't believe the way you do, or embraced your doctrine that they are wrong. If you are more advanced then they in your understanding, then the burden is on you to communicate the gospel more effectively to them. Having said that, let me share with you what I believe.
I Believe...................
In the one, true, and Living God. And that He sent His Son (Jesus) to die on the cross, that all men who accept His sacrifice would be saved.
I believe that there is only one way to get to heaven, and that is by accepting the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, and confessing Him as Lord and Savior of your life according to Romans 10:9&10.
I believe that upon the acceptance of Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, that you must be baptized in water whenever it is permissible.
I believe in the power of God, and that He empowered believers to fulfill the ministry of Jesus by healing the sick, casting out devils, raising the dead, and preaching the uncompromising word of God, which is able to save men souls.
I believe in all nine gifts of the Spirit as mention in I Cor.12 and all nine fruits of the spirit as mention in Gal.5.
I believe that the "fivefold ministries are still intact today; that is the apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher. I believe that these ministry gifts will be intact until we all come into the unity of the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God.
I believe that the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God, and beside it, there is no other gospel whereby men must be saved, and pattern and live their lives by.
I believe that there is a heaven to gain and a hell to shun.
I believe that our Lord and Savior will soon return for His Church without spot or wrinkle, and pronounce judgment on the world, and victory over the devil, being crowned King of kings, and Lord of lords. |
